Melissa on Paul Jake: ‘He makes me happy now’
After her recent revelation that she is dating former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Paul Jake Castillo, Melissa Ricks said that Paul Jake makes her happy and gives her inspiration.
Melissa and Paul Jake previously revealed in separate interviews that they were going out.
“I enjoy hanging out with him and being with him,” the “Walang Hanggan” actress said in an interview at Julia Montes’ house blessing in Antipolo City on March 20.
Melissa added, however, that she and the Cebuano businessman-actor are not yet a couple.
But she is happy with the ways things are with Paul Jake. “Maganda na may inspirasyon lalo na sa trabaho natin ngayon na medyo mahirap, medyo nakakapagod. So, it’s good to have someone you can talk to,” she said.
Making time to see each other
Melissa said they don’t get to hang out often because of her schedule but they make time when she’s free.
“Kapag may chance,” she confirmed about seeing Paul Jake. “Kasi lately halos araw-araw kaming nagti-tape for ‘Walang Hanggan,’ so I really don’t have much time for anything else. Matutulog ako kung pwede; kapag meron namang time na free, lumalabas naman kami, kumakain kami, bonding.”
Playing the contrabida in the soap made her anxious at first. But she is happy with the positive feedback she receives on Twitter. Some followers, she said, have commented about how bad her Johanna Montenegro character is.
Twitter follower: ‘You’re so maldita’
“Natutuwa ako kasi sa Twitter account ko, marami namang nagre-react ng… ‘Nakakainis ka, you’re so maldita.’ But, they like it. As long as hindi naman ako maldita sa totoong buhay, okay lang iyon. It’s a role and I’m just doing my job,” Melissa said.
As for her co-star Julia, Melissa said that she is proud of Julia’s early accomplishments and hopes they can remain friends even after “Walang Hanggan” ends.
“Sobrang happy ako for Julia,” Melissa said. “Nakikita na niya kung saan napupunta hard work niya. Since she was a little girl pa, alam ko na na dream niya to provide a house for her family.”
