Miss Czech Republic Tereza Fajksová as proclaimed Miss Earth 2012 at the coronation night held at the Versailles Palace in Alabang on Saturday, November 24.
Miss Philippines Stefanowitz was named Miss Air (first runner-up); Miss Venezuela Osmariel Villalobos is Miss Water (second runner-up) and Miss Brazil Camila Brant is Miss Fire (third runner-up).
The Top 4 finalists answered what they consider is their “defining moment as a woman.”
Tereza impressed the judges by saying everyone must “protect” and “respect” Mother Earth.

Stephany, on the other hand, said her defining moment as a woman is her advocacy for the preservation of the environment and renewable energy.
“My defining moment would be that I am a woman of the Earth and I am here to fight for, conserve and preserve our environment. My advocacy is basically for the betterment of our environment.
“Since this year we are celebrating the year for renewable energy, I’m promoting renewable energy to the rest of the world.”

The Top 8 finalists include Miss USA Siria Bojorquez, Miss South Africa Tamerin Jardine, Miss Russia Natalia Pereverzeva and Miss Nepal Nagma Shrestha.
Special awards went to Miss India Prachi Mishra for Miss Congeniality; Miss Venezuela Osmariel Villalobos for Miss Photogenic and Miss Thailand Waratthaya Wongchayaporn for Best in National Costume.
Miss Earth 2012 was televised on Star World and will also be aired in ABS-CBN on Sunday, November 25.
