Kim is Filipino-American-Latina. She describes herself as a very adventurous person. She loves overcoming challenges and doing something she is initially afraid of. She has joined other pageants like Miss Bikini Philippines 2012, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012 and Miss Resorts World 2013.

Kim's advocacy is supporting women and children in the best possible way. She is into organizing charity programs and feeding programs and helping people with their basic needs.

Kim sees it as a positive sign that she and Miss World 2013 Megan Young come from the same hometown. She believes that she has what it takes to be the next Miss World Philippines.
