In the mood of Manish Arora: "We imagined a strong, independent woman at places like Burning Man"

On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week (September 23-October 1), Relaxnews caught up with designer Manish Arora, whose Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be shown on Thursday at noon. The Indian designer offered a glimpse into the inspirations behind his latest designs.

What's the key piece in this collection and why?
MA: I would like to believe that every piece is important and key....

What female icon could be the face of this collection?
MA: Grimes, the singer. We think of her going to places like the Burning Man Festival. A strong, independent, experimental woman!

What was the initial spark or starting point for this season?
MA: Iridescence, pastels, layering were some of the words that sparked the start of this collection.

Can you sum up the collection in one word?
MA: It's beautifully illusive!

What was the biggest challenge you encountered creating this collection?
MA: Challenge -- I am not sure, but it was an exciting and a new journey for us experimenting with layering silhouettes yet keeping them airy and light at the same time...
