More local celebs take the ice bucket challenge
The global ice bucket challenge, which aims to promote awareness and raise funds for research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), has reached local showbiz.
Lea Salonga, Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda, Derek Ramsay, Anne Curtis and love teams Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla and Nadine Lustre-James Reid, Julie Ann San Jose and Mark Herras, accepted the challenge of getting dumped with water and donating to ALS research and awareness.
‘Ang lamig!’
Kris accepted Derek’s challenge and took the ice bucket challenge during the live episode of "The Buzz" on Sunday, August 24.
Kris’ friend Vice Ganda followed suit during his production number in the August 25 episode of ABS-CBN’s "It's Showtime.
"Ang lamig! I nominate Coco Martin and Richard Yap. I also nominate direk Bobet Vidanes to do the challenge today," Vice Ganda said.
‘Donation done’
Engaged couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes took the ice bucket challenge after Julie Ann San
Jose nominated them.
"Donation done. I hope that the ultimate purpose of this campaign will reach its goal," Dingdong said.
He and Marian nominated Hugh Jackman, Vic Sotto, Roxanne Barcelo, Rodjun Cruz, Sen. Bam Aquino and Ana Feleo to do the next ice bucket challenge.
KathNiel’s turn
Kapamilya love team Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, who were nominated by "Kris TV" writer Darla
Sauler, took the ice bucket challenge at the same time. They nominated couples Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez; Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz; Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo and Bench's Ben Chan to the next ice bucket challenge.
"Talk Back and You're Dead" love team Nadine Lustre and James Reid also took the challenge during a mall show.
Her boyfriend Erwan Heussaff dumped cold water on Anne Curtis. The couple will both donate to alsa.org.
The ice bucket challenge went viral when Hollywood celebrities took part to help raise funds and create awareness for ALS.
