Motorola's online smartphone customization platform will allow consumers in the world's biggest smartphone market to make their devices stand out.

Already live in the US and Europe, Moto Maker lets users choose everything from internal capacity of a handset to the type of material used in its outer shell. In other words, all of the options needed to make a smartphone truly personal.

Parent company Lenovo re-introduced the Motorola brand in China in January and news that the accompanying customization service was going live was announced Thursday, during Lenovo's inaugural Global Tech World conference, currently underway in Beijing.
