MTRCB puts 'Party Pilipinas' under 6-month probation

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has placed  GMA 7’s Sunday noontime musical variety show “Party Pilipinas” under probation for six months after it presented Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino’s sexy dance number, among others, in its January 27 edition.
In its official Twitter account, the MTRCB  asked “Party Pilipinas” to explain the “alleged sexually charged scenes.”
“Yesterday, the network concerned was already served a Show Cause directive, and the Party Pilipinas matter will be heard Feb 5,” MTRCB posted on January 30.
MTRCB also thanked the citizens for their “vigilance” in raising their concerns over the said edition of the show.

“MTRCB takes this opportunity to remind television networks to deliberately exercise self-regulation for the public good,” MTRCB tweeted.

Call for public apology
MTRCB also informed the public via Twitter that it ordered “Party Pilipinas” to air a public apology..
