Music chart rankings all stopped due to ferry sinking accident

All of the Korean musicians stopped their promotions after the ferry sinking accident, and fluctuations of chart rankings are also decreasing.

Rankings on Melon's real time chart for today is looking exactly identical with that of yesterday, and no change is happening at this moment as well.

The song which showed the biggest movement is MamaMoo's 'Some Guys, Some Girls,' which was ranked 47th.

Rankings on other websites' charts are not so much different. Bernard Park's 'Because I Love you,' which was released on April 21st, and Yoon Gun's 'I Love You Too Much' were ranked high on Bugs and Soribada's real time charts.

Rankings on real time charts change by every hour, and such a paralysis usually does not get seen. It seems that this was caused by comeback postponements that many singers announced after the ferry sinking accident.

In addition, Bernard Park's 'Because I Love You' and Yoon Gun's 'I Love You Too Much' peaked high rankings on two different charts, but people's reactions are not as great as expected.

A representative said, "Bernard Park's 'Because I Love You' and Yoon Gun's 'Because I Love You' are singles, so they could just release it as originally planned. However, releasing any articles or holding promotion events is almost possible under such a social atmosphere, and that seems to be why the songs are not getting as great reactions."

The representative also added, "This ferry accident stroke our society with a colossal shock, and it seems that this atmosphere is going to be continued until late April. Furthermore, there is a long holiday in May, so it will take quite a long time until everything gets normal again."
