When it’s hot and humid, you could do worse than escaping to any one of the live music gigs happening this weekend in the metro.

The first tribute happened last year at 19 East. Here’s the follow up, with Beatles fan Ely Buendia gigging with the adhoc group Clementine and the Eggmen.

Begin your music-soaked weekend today, April 25, Friday, at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. The annual Earth Day Jam is set to reverberate later at 6 p.m. with a laundry list of at least 17 music acts playing well into the night.

In the lineup are Abra, Sandwich, Slapshock, Kjwan, ChicoSci, Itchyworms, Noel Cabangon, Gloc-9, Mayonnaise, Brownman Revival and loads more.

The free concert will also feature a recyclables fair in keeping with the theme of the show.

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 26

Pulp Summer Slam 2014

The longest-running metalfest in Southeast Asia cranks up the volume of this year’s edition to 14 at the Amoranto Stadium on Saturday.

Before you head to the slam, make sure you DON’T bring (or wear) any of the following: weapons, sharp or pointed objects (sticks, studded shoes or bracelets, belts with big buckles, umbrellas, blades, etc.), firecrackers and other pyrotechnics, cans or bottles, other food and drinks.

Keep your professional or DSLR cameras and large video recorders at home, too, or you won’t get allowed in the venue.
