Rocco Nacino will replace JM de Guzman as San Pedro Calungsod in an indie film about the Cebuano saint which will be shown at the Metro Manila Film Festival starting December 25.
Francis Villacorta, director of "Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir" told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that he has made negotiations with GMA-7 and has gotten Rocco’s nod about it.

The film also stars Christian Vasquez as the Spanish superior of the San Diego missions.
Shooting for the film starts August and ends in October.
