Paris menswear: highlights from Etudes, Hermès, Lanvin

Here's our latest selection of the weekend's runway action from Paris men's fashion week.

Etudes

The Etudes team got hyped up on motorcross and mass-market energy drinks for Spring-Summer 2015 and the 'Mx-ism' collection debuted in a car lot with customized parking bays for each model (at the end the audience was invited up for a closer inspection). Highlights included racing jerseys (riffing on Dada and Fauvism), mechanical prints by Swedish artist Marten Lange, and the label's first shoes, a postmodern twist on a classic derby.

Hermès

The French luxury brand played with print this season, a first for its menswear runway shows. Véronique Nichanian also sent out refined yet relaxed tailoring, orange and chartreuse casual jackets and knits, with a luxe touch added by suede shirts and a crocodile hoodie. For footwear, models wore slip-on leather skate shoes and sandals.

Lanvin

Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz cut their pleated pants long so they sat bunched on the ankle, and teamed them with skinny belts and loose double-breasted blazers. Their brooding Spring-Summer 2015 collection featured metallic woven fabrics, leather pants and jackets, python vests, silk prints and stunning scuba outerwear.
