Quark unhappy over mom Vicki's engagement
Quark Henares, Dr. Vicki Belo’s son has finally expressed his opinion about the recent engagement of his mom to Hayden Kho.
“I'm not happy about it. In fact, I don't think anyone outside of the two are. But I love my mother and value her happiness above everything. So, I will support her,” the film director said in an official statement sent to ABS-CBN's “The Buzz.”
He also issued a warning to Hayden.
“I'll still be keeping watch on Hayden though and if he hurts her again, I think I really will have to kill him.”
While Quark was vocal about his opinion, his sister, Cristalle kept mum on the issue. Pressed for comment by “The Buzz,” Cristalle diverted the topic to other recent issues in showbiz. “Mas maingay ata ‘yung kay Andi Eigenmann, 'di ba? She’s pregnant… tapos si Derek (Ramsay) daw, ‘yon… (referring to his marriage) So anong nangyari do'n?” Cristalle said.
Still trying to veer away from the topic, Cristalle suggested to just give Ruffa Gutierrez a birthday message during the interview. “Okay na ‘yon, birthday message na. No comment,” Cristalle said.
On Tuesday, July 5, Quark reacted on his Twitter regarding an article which said that his official statement was “apparently scathing.”
“so, apparently the comment was "scathing". i should make one thing clear, though--i actually like @haydenjr . he's a nice feller,” Quark tweeted.
He followed this up with another message where he said it’s important is that Hayden loves his mother. “alas, i love my mom more than anyone else in the world. so it doesn't really matter if i like u. if you hurt her again,there will be blood,” Quark tweeted.
Hayden replied to Quark’s Twitter post also on Tuesday.
“it's ok, quark. I understand. You have my word that nothing like that (what happened) will ever happen again,” Hayden tweeted.
Again reacting to Quark’s Twitter message warning that “there will be blood” if Hayden hurts Vicki again, Hayden tweeted, “and if it happens again, you have my permission to mow me down.”
Although Vicki and Hayden have confirmed their engagement, they have not yet revealed details, such as the wedding date and venue, as they are still working on some issues.
Quark and Cristalle are Vicki’s children by first husband Atom Henares.
