Rayver Cruz laughs off break-up rumors

What break-up?

Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes’ relationship is yet again the subject of rumor mills, with reports claiming they have already called it quits.

But according to Rayver, he and Cristine are happy together. The Kapamilya actor added they laugh off reports alleging their relationship is on the rocks.

“Ang masasabi ko lang sa mga ganitong issues is, wala. Tatawanan ko na lang. Kasi palagi na lang, e. Syempre, sasabihin nila nay un na hiwalay na daw,” he told members of the press at the 2nd Sunpiology Run and Star Magic Gives Back concert in Taguig City on Saturday, November 24.

It will be recalled that the status of their relationship was also questioned earlier this year. Still, Rayver explained such issues do not affect them

“Masaya kami. Hindi naman kami naaapektuhan, e. Bahala na sila sa mga opinion ng iba,” he said.

Forever with Cristine?

Rayver and Cristine may not be as visible as other celebrity couples. However, the 23-year-old actor mused, “Hindi naman kailangan na lagi kaming magkasama. Basta alam naming na parehas kaming andyan para sa bawat isa.”

Asked to describe his present relationship with Cristine, Rayver  said: “Chinecherish namin yung mga moments na happy kami together, magkakatrabaho kami, magiging busy kami parehas,”

Rayver and Cristine will be working together in the upcoming ABS-CBN soap opera “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.”

Does he think Cristine will be “the one” for him? Rayver admitted they’re not thinking about the future right now.

“Ang iniisip namin, yung ngayon,” he said.

Rayver further explained, “Kung kami talaga sa future, e di kami. Kung hindi, e di wala tayong magagawa.”

Issue with Joross

Meanwhile, the actor does not want to dignify reports that Cristine requested Rayver to be part of “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” at the expense of Joross Gamboa.

According to earlier reports, Cristine allegedly asked Joross to be pulled out from the show. Rayver reportedly took Joross’ role.

“Hindi na kailangan iclarify kasi parang minsan kasi wala lang maibato na isyu so gagawa sila ng gagawa ng isyu,” he said. “Hindi ko naman alam kung ano yung storya. Ako tinawagan lang ako (for the project)”

Rayver added, “Hindi naman gagawin ni AA (Cristine’s nickname) yun. Saka, basta ang alam ko is yung role talaga is yung sinabi sa akin.”

Controversies aside, Rayver is excited to start work for the soap opera. Besides the show being his first project since the afternoon soap“Reputasyon” earlier this year, it’s also his first project with close friend Gerald Anderson in a very long time.

Gerald will be Cristine’s leading man in the show.

“Yun (working with Gerald) yung nilolook forward ko kasi sobrang tagal ko na siyang gustong makatrabaho and ito na yung pagkakataon,” Rayver said.
