Get ready for a Tupac overload

Rap music artist Tupac Shakur

Clothing, books and a host of unheard tracks are being lined up for launch as we approach the 20th anniversary of the rapper's untimely death.

Shot down in September 1996, Tupac Shakur subsequently shot to legendary status within the hip-hop community.

And, according to Billboard, as this year rolls on, we are going to see a full ‘re-imagination' of his creative and cultural legacy that will include an authorized biography, licensing of his image, an apparel range and new music, poems and even scripts.

This ‘reset' of the Tupac estate is being overseen by JAM Inc.'s Jeff Jampol and Tom Whalley, the head of Loma Vista Records. JAM Inc. has a proven track record in this regard, having successfully managed the legacies of everyone from The Doors to Janis Joplin.

As for the new material, Jampol describes it as: "unreleased music, released music, remixes, original demos, writings, scripts, plans, video treatments, poems."
