Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes tie the knot
Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes, who have been sweethearts for almost a year, tied the knot on Sunday, June 9.
Richard first revealed about their engagement during his album launch last April, but was tightlipped about the details.
Their talent management companies, Cornerstone and Star Magic posted photos of the newlyweds. Francis Libiran designed Maricar's gown and Richard's black tuxedo.
ABS-CBN executives and celebrities attended the celebration. Jose Mari Chan, Nikki Gil, Thor and ASAP Sessionistas performed at the wedding reception.
Earlier, Poon said his parents highly approve of the relationship.
"I met her parents. I also told my parents about her. Every Sunday, nagmi-meet kami sa resto ng daddy ko. Lagi silang nag-uusap ni Maricar. Gustong-gusto niya si Maricar," he said.
Richard had said he admires Maricar’s character and simplicity.
"Unang kita ko pa lang kay Maricar sa Betty La Fea, crush ko na siya. May character siya, grace under pressure. She has gone through a lot. I like how her character handled it. She's a very simple and private person."
The couple announced their relationship on Kris TV in August 2012.
