Robert Rodriguez to bring back ‘Jonny Quest’

In collaboration with Terry Rossio, Robert Rodriguez is to write the script bringing back the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, now looked upon as a classic after several years of inactivity.

He will also direct the Warner Bros. adaptation, according to the Hollywood Reporter, who spotted the story.

Co-author Terry Rossio has worked on the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean' movies as well as ‘The Mask of Zorro.'

The original script was writted by Dan Manzeau.

"Jonny Quest" dates back to 1964 and follows the adventures of a boy who follows his father on missions around the world.
