Although Robin Padilla showed how hurt he was when daughter Kylie Padilla admitted in a TV interview that Aljur Abrenica broke up with her, the action star was evasive when the press asked him to elaborate on his opinion about the break up.

“Ramadan ngayon. Huwag muna natin pag-usapan iyan. Siguro para din kay Kylie at sa gustong manligaw sa kanya, respeto muna doon sa Muslim,” Robin told reporters at the Yahoo! Celebrity Awards on Friday, July 18, where the Padillas were proclaimed Family of the Year.

Message to Kylie’s admirers

But he has a piece of advice for Kylie’s admirers and would-be suitors.

“Mag-Muslim siya. Kapag Muslim siya, wala nang question iyon.”

Robin’s previous advice to his daughter was “Maghanap ka ng barakong Pilipino.”

Kylie is now being romantically linked to her fellow Kapuso star Enzo Pineda.

Meanwhile, Robin, who was with wife Mariel and brothers BB Gandanghari, Rommel and RJ at the Yahoo Awards at the Mall of Asia, told the press he wants BB to refrain from doing something drastic that would shock the family.

‘Dahan dahan lang’

“Sa ngayon, dahan-dahan lang. Sa ngayon, para siyang bagong panganak. Katulad nga ng sinabi namin,

nasa puberty pa siya. Huwag niya kami masyadong biglain. Dahan-dahan lang.”

Robin explained that he and his siblings are still adjusting to BB. In fact, Robin admitted he himself is finding out more about what being a transgender is through BB.

The action star thanked Yahoo Philippines and his family’s fans for honoring the Padillas in the star-studded rites.

“Maraming salamat sa Yahoo! at sa mga bumoto, dahil sa kanila, nagkasama-sama kaming magkakapatid.”
