An upset Rocco Nacino conceded he can only do so much as far as the issue between his girlfriend, Lovi Poe and director Erik Matti is concerned.

"Dahil girlfriend ko 'yung natapakan, I’m upset pero I’m still looking at the brighter side of things na maayos pa rin ang lahat. If they get the chance na makapag-usap in private, and to know the real reason of the conflict, everything will be resolved,” he told the media at the press conference of the GMA series “Hiram na Alaala” recently.

Matti gave Lovi a dressing down recently—calling the actress “starlet” after she demanded a "ridiculous amount of money” for a two-day shoot to reprise her role in the sequel of the 2012 movie “Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles.”

‘Mature way’

"She's taking it well. To say that to a woman, para sa akin hindi naman dapat ganun,” Rocco said, adding he can only support Lovi and advise her because he’s not involved in the issue.

Rocco is proud of his girlfriend for the way she is facing the issue.

"You don’t have to fight fire with fire. I’m proud of her for taking this in a mature way."

The 27-year-old actor maintained Lovi is professional and is not materialistic.

Man-to-man talk

"She doesn't have to be worried or scared kasi alam naman ng lahat ng tao na hindi siya mukhang pera. She would gladly accept a cameo role in a movie kahit one day shoot ‘yan."

Rocco further said he would gladly talk to Matti when they bump into each other.

“As a director may respeto pa rin ako kay Erik Matti and I have nothing against him. If ever I see him kakausapin ko siya man to man, maayos and in a mature way."
