Rocco Nacino couldn’t be happier, now that his lady love Lovi Poe admitted their relationship on national TV.

“I was surprised but then, eventually naman kasi, it will come out din. Sabi ko maybe that was the time for people to know na rin,” Rocco told reporters at the press conference of the Cinemalaya Film Festival.

Private matter

Rocco admitted Lovi’s move surprised him because they did not talk about it before she appeared on Startalk last July 5.

“We talked about it being a private matter na lang. We keep it to ourselves, then kapag nag-come out na, ganoon na lang,” he said.

Rocco is happy he is getting positive comments about their relationship.

No bashing

“Nakakatuwa na tanggap kami ng mga tao. Walang nag-babash. It's nice to know that we have a great chemistry on and off screen. Dagdag saya ako ngayon.”

Rocco shared that he and Lovi initially hid their relationship because they wanted to keep things private.

“Because napag-usapan namin na it's something we want to treasure. People know a lot about us na. It's something na if you don't let people meddle in, it's something we can treasure. At least we know na it's not a problem pala to tell everyone.”

Working with Nora

Rocco feels honored to have worked with  Nora Aunor in this year’s Cinemalaya entry “Hustisya.”

“Nice to see a lot of people joining, actors doing this. This is one way of enhancing your talent in acting, joining festivals like this. Masaya ako na nakasama ako dito and have a chance to work with Ms. Nora. Direk

Joel (Lamangan) was also there to push me para ilabas ang character ko. Sobrang bait niya, inaalagaan niy ako.”
