Ryan Bang faces tax evasion charge

Korean actor-TV host Ryan Bang is facing a tax evasion complaint filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

In a TV Patrol report on Thursday, January 31, Ryan failed to register his income and percentage tax, which amounts to P1.8 million from his P3 million earnings in 2010 and 2011.

Ryan currently hosts the daily variety show “It’s Showtime.” In a press statement released by his legal counsel Atty. Joji Alonso, their party has yet to receive the order from the BIR.

“We have yet to receive summons from the DOJ on the alleged tax evasion charges. Ryan Bang intends to comply with all obligations due the government, if any. He will never knowingly and deliberately violate any law in this country,” Atty. Jojo said.
