Ryzza Mae asks PNoy: Bakit wala ka pa pong asawa?

Ryzza Mae Dizon

At age 7, she may be the youngest co-host of Eat Bulaga, but Ryzza Mae Dizon is the only one with a self-titled show. And yes, only a handful of established names like Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta and Vice Ganda can have that.

Yahoo! Philippines OMG! visits Ryzza Mae one Saturday afternoon at the studio of the hit noontime show to know what makes millions of Filipinos adore the youngest host on TV today.

Working on two daily shows for five hours (and a few more to tape a weekly sitcom with Vic Sotto), the reigning Little Miss Philippines plays with her pink toy bike as she answers our questions--noticeably trying to balance work with the thing most kids her age enjoy at great length especially during summer.

Questions the Ryzza Mae way

Eat Bulaga's little darling is no ordinary child. Her pint-sized frame hides an unusual wit that can readily banter with the middle-aged hosts of the noontime show. And Just like on The Ryzza Mae Show where she guests big names like Maricel Soriano, Marian Rivera and Mike Enriquez, Yahoo! Philippines OMG! throws out the little big host some names she can interview in the future. Ryzza Mae has these questions:

  • Dingdong Dantes: Mag-girlfriend po ba talaga kayo ni Ate Marian Rivera?

  • Richard Gutierrez: Kamusta po ang speedboat? (Ryzza Mae shares she joined Richard for a swim in Cebu.)

Bread winner at seven

Ryzza Mae may not be completely aware but the popularity she enjoys comes with an amount big enough to support their five-member household.

Her mother used to have a small sari-sari store, while regular job seems elusive for her father whose contract as mall promodizer just ended.

Mommy Riza admitted that television's latest small but terrible find is her family's treasure--bringing food on the table and keeping the family going. "Ang laki ng naitulong [ni Ryzza Mae]. Tingnan mo nga hitsura namin ngayon," her mom told Yahoo! Philippines OMG!

Right now the family has already afforded a second-hand car and is trying to save up knowing that TV landscape constantly looks for fresh faces and new talents.

Looking at the future ahead of Ryzza Mae, Mommy Riza has this to say: "Sana makatapos siya ng pag-aaral dahil yun ang pinakaimportante sa lahat."
