Sam Milby admits he's picky when it comes to love
Kapamilya actor Sam Milby feels no bitterness when asked about former girlfriend Anne Curtis and her long-time boyfriend Erwan Heussaff.
Sam and Anne didn’t get to work together for years before doing “The Gifted” and “Dyesebel,” so he is happy to rekindle their friendship while they were doing the mermaid series.
“Four years na kami na hindi nagkasama. It was nice to do these projects, lalo na yung 'Dyesebel,' matagal pinagsamahan namin doon. And doon nag-starting over again yung friendship namin,” Sam said at the press conference of “The Gifted,” his movie with Anne and Cristine Reyes.
No regrets
The 30-year-old actor-singer has no regrets his relationship with Anne didn’t work out.
“For me, there’s a reason for everything. It was very hard for me, especially after our split. But I think things happen for a reason. I’m just happy for them (Anne and Erwan) that they’re happy together. I’m excited because I know I’ll meet the woman that will make me realize why all the past didn’t work out.”
Anne will always be special to Sam.
Different love
“No matter what, kahit matanda na ko, I’ll always love her. She’ll always have a special place in my heart. But it’s different now, siyempre it’s a different love. Kahit in the future if she needed me, I’ll always be there for her.”
After remaining single for quite some time now, Sam has not lost hope about finding ‘The One’ someday.
“Sobrang pihikan ako ngayon. That’s true. I’m very picky but also nung Dyesebel, dire-diretso ang taping namin, so wala talagang time. So ngayon, tapos ang Dyesebel, tapos ang movie, okay na ako at may time for that. Sana mangayari na, it’s been awhile.”
Prospective girlfriend
Sam is mum about the identity of a girl he wants to have a relationship with.
“Love is something you must be picky about. You should never settle when it comes to love. I have to know and feel na in love ako. Hindi yung ‘Sige pwede na ito, tignan natin.’ I wanna know and feel na may future talaga ito.”
