Shakira launches a line of baby toys with Fisher-Price

Global superstar and young mom Shakira's line of baby accessories and playthings designed with toy company Fisher-Price is now available for pre-order.

Following the announcement earlier this week, the Colombian pop singer's "Shakira First Steps Collection" (with prices ranging from $9.99 - $59.99) can now be pre-ordered on Amazon. The range includes a portable piano gym ($54.99), a baby bouncer which plays global beats ($59.99) and a series of alphabet blocks ($14.99). A stacking toy ($14.99) and soft story book ($9.99) are also featured.

The musician -- whose partner is FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué -- has also designed a "Move ‘n Groove Soccer Ball" ($17.99) which plays 11 different tunes from around the world.

"Working with my foundation over the years on early childhood development, I saw how important developmental milestones are and how toys can help babies reach them -- including with my own son," the singer said.

"I wanted to design a line of toys that stimulated development in the crucial early stages of life, the stages in which learning can be achieved through supervised play, fostering the development of psychological, social and motor skills."

To mark the launch of the products, Shakira will also be filming a web series of 12 different clips in which she talks about being a mom to toddler son Milan, who was born last year.

The First Steps Collection will be releasing from mid-November through Amazon.com and Fisher-Price.com. Proceeds will go to Shakira's charity, the Barefoot Foundation.
