Simon Cowell: I’m bored of TV talent shows

Simon Cowell believes TV singing competitions are “beginning to look the same”.

The X Factor mogul has appeared as a judge on numerous shows of this nature since appearing on the UK’s Pop Idol in 2001. Since then he has built international franchises of Got Talent, Idol and X Factor programmes.

The X Factor USA recently announced its third season features returning judge Demi Lovato and newcomers Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio on the panel.

Simon believes the powerful feminine energy will revitalise the show.

“I thought all these shows are beginning to look the same, got two guys right and left, two girls in the middle,” he explained to Extra.

“Well, I’m quite used to that, putting a load of girls into one situation and seeing how they get on. I like that. I think it’s fun.”

Simon says viewers are in for a treat.

He hints the entire platform will be completely revamped.

“I’m bored by a bunch of millionaires bickering amongst themselves while somebody’s on stage going, ‘What about me?’ I can’t bear it any longer,” he said.

“We’ve got a very interesting middle section now, which I won’t say what it is, but it’s really, really good. Very dramatic and better than what we did last year.”

The next season of American X Factor will premiere in September.

Last year Britney Spears and L.A. Reid served as judges, but they have since forfeited their posts.

Beyonce’s #Flawless image is embroiled in controversy once again. On Wednesday, a web site called The Beyonce World leaked 224 allegedly raw photos of the musician. The images showed Bey in full makeup for the 2013 L’Oreal ad campaign — but with the kinds of “imperfections” we all have — beauty marks, bumps, creases. In the wake of Cindy Crawford’s unretouched photos, the images have been praised by critics of a beauty industry that sets impossibly high standards, standards that Queen Bey …
