Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria, Sir Chief and Maya in the hit morning teleserye “Be Careful with My Heart,”  admit having wedding jitters as their characters’ altar date draws near.

The teleserye’s lead stars shared that everything feels surreal because the wedding preparations  –marriage counseling, selecting the entourage and others -- are comparable to a real-life wedding.

Richard says, “This is as real as it comes to a real wedding.  All wedding preparations talagang ginagawa din dito. So, kung in character kami, we have to get into our character also.”

Jodi adds that she and Richard see themselves in their characters’ shoes, and that she wants to make the November 15 wedding episode as real as possible.

“Minsan sinasabi ko na papel na lang ang kulang dito. Kasi parang totoong-totoo from rehearsals to preparations. Kung ano talaga yung pinagdaraanan ng isang couple bago sila ikasal, ganoon din ang pinagdadaanan nila Maya and ni Sir Chief.”

Wedding details

The wedding motif is blue and  Avel Bacudio designed Maya’s bridal gown. The invitations resemble a  passport because Jodi works as a flight attendant, while Sir Chief is connected with an aviation company.

Maricar Reyes acts as one of the bridesmaids while Cris Villanueva is part of the group of groomsmen. The couple’s family and friends, including Abby, Emman, Doris, Sabel and Joma, are also part of the entourage.

Maya and Sir Chief’s honeymoon is set in Japan.

“Hindi pwedeng mawala ang honeymoon. Iyon kasi ang wish talaga ni Maya na makakita ng snow. Pupunta kami ng Japan,” Jodi said.

How many children do they plan to have?

“Para kay Maya, ang gusto niya, dalawa. Isang boy at isang girl.” Richard replies.  “Para kay Sir Chief, isang dosena.”

The two actors added that they will go on playing their respective characters as long as the viewers want to see them.

“Be Careful with My Heart” started airing in 2012.
