Fun facts about KPOP Convention headliner Sistar

Pinoy K-pop fans must get ready with their fan chants, banners and light sticks as there are only few days left before big Sistar, GOT7 and Bernard Park visit Manila.

The big K-pop acts will perform in Pulp Live World’s KPOP Convention 6 on December 28 at SMX Halls 3 & 4.

Meanwhile, here's fun trivia about the all-female KPOP Convention headliner Sistar, who will be visiting the country for the first time.

1. Sistar is the most popular group in the army

Sistar, composed of Hyorin, Bora, Soyou and Dasom, are known to be very popular among men because of their hit songs, beauty and sexiness. The hitmakers of “Ma Boy,” “Alone” and “Touch My Body” are said to be “the most popular group” in the army according to Super Junior member Leeteuk, who enlisted in the army in 2011-2013.

Sistar is also popular among male celebrities. Jay Park has said in many interviews that Bora is his ideal type of girl.

2. The physical trait they envy from other members

Despite each member having a good physique, the fit and fab girls of Sistar still have their own body concerns. In an interview in “Entertainment Relay,” Bora and Dasom revealed which body parts of other members they wish they had. Bora likes Dasom’s slender waist, while Dasom selected her favorite assets from each member. “Soyuunni's hip, Bora unni's legs, and Hyorin unni's chest. If I was born like that, I would've ruled the universe by now... I would've been 'Dasom Who Came from the Stars,’” Dasom said.

3. They’re singers-turned-actresses

Aside from singing and performing, Sistar has also ventured into acting. Hyorin first broke into the Hallyu drama wave with “Dream High 2” in 2012, where she acted as a female member of the group HershE. Dasom also debuted as an actress in the sitcom “Shut Up Family” in 2012, acting as a high school student. She followed it up with the drama “Melody of Love,” where she played the role of a musical actress. Bora also acted in medical drama “Doctor Stranger.”

4. Health and beauty secrets

With their beautiful faces and fit bodies, who wouldn’t admire Sistar? Many girls definitely want to exchange notes with them when it comes to maintaining their beauty and sexiness. Hyorin advised to do stretching and massaging to avoid having swollen legs. While some girls starve themselves to look slim, Dasom said that she eats well and exercises a lot. Soyou, on the other hand, told Ceci magazine that she likes doing weight training, flying yoga, and water-skiing.

5. Celebrity friends

Being in the industry since 2010, Sistar members have made friends with many celebrities. Bora is good friends with Jewelry’s Yewon, Girls Generation’s Sunny and Tiffany and MBLAQ’s Mir. Super Junior’s Heechul, who acted in Sistar’s video “Shady Girl,” is friends with Dasom. Soyou, on the other hand, is good friends with Miss A’s Min and former KARA member Nicole.
