SM Entertainment files a lawsuit against two former Kris

SM Entertainment filed a lawsuit against two former EXO members, Kris and Luhan.

On July 31st, SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding the lawsuit that they filed against Kris and Luhan. SM Entertainment said, "We had filed a lawsuit against Luhan for violation of management contract conditions last April, and we recently filed another lawsuit against Kris for participating in advertisement shoots without our company's agreement."

SM Entertainment went on, "After withdrawing from the team in May 2014, Kris has participated in a great number of different professional activities, using the fame that he accumulated as a member of EXO. His such actions brought serious conflicts and financial damage to contracts that EXO was involved in Korea and many other countries."

SM Entertainment continued, "The management contract that Kris signed with SM Entertainment will be in effect until the court makes the final judgment. All of the activities that Kris participates before then are illegal, and we will take every appropriate legal action that we can take."

SM Entertainment lastly added, "Our company will continue taking nimble actions in order to prevent further financial damages of us, and also many other alliance companies."
