SNSD’s DVD, Blu-Ray Disc Sells Big in Japan in 2012
SNSD’s concert tour DVD and Blu-Ray discs have proven to be big hits in Japan.
According to Oricon’s 2012 first half ranking released on June 20, SNSD’s first Japanese tour DVD, Japan First Tour Girls’ Generation and Blu-Ray have both charted in the top five.
The Blu-Ray disc sold 56,000 copies, hitting second on the Blu-Ray disc chart while the DVD sold 148,718 copies, placing fourth on the DVD chart.
SNSD’s Japan First Tour Girls’ Generation contains performances and footage from SNSD’s first Japan tour, which began last year on May 31 and took the girls through six cities in Japan for 14 performances.
The concert DVD and Blu-Ray discs were released on December 14.
