Solenn: Hindi ako ‘sossy’

Don't ever call Solenn Heussaff "sossy". The socialite tag, she explains, only started when she joined the reality show “Survivor Philippines.”

"Sila ang naglagay ng titulo na iyan," she said. "I hate the term. Kasi yung totoong socialites are, like those who attend all the parties, (just) to be seen or to be photographed."

That's why sometimes Solenn hopes she won't have to attend certain events or functions.

“I think kasi in the job we’re in, like, everyday you put makeup on, everyday you dress up, everyday you have events. So kami kapag may free time, you don’t wanna dress up. You don’t wanna put on makeup.”

'Sossy' only in movies

Solenn may not see herself as a socialite, but she acts the part in “Sossy Problems,” where she co-stars with Rhian Ramos, Bianca King and Heart Evangelista.

Solenn plays Margaux, the French ambassador’s daughter.

Solenn explains that the movie is a parody of the upper class and clarifies that her role is a far cry from what she is in real life.

“I don’t relate to my character at all. Sobrang bobo siya, as in. Laging nakabukas iyong bibig niya. She’s very nice, very sweet, very caring naman, pero iyong utak niya nasa langit. Actually, minsan I’m like that, my brain is flying around. But, yeah, I’m not similar to Margaux naman,” Solenn insisted.
