Solenn hopes to settle down with foreigner boyfriend

Solenn Heussaff values her freedom a lot. She wants to go where her heart is and do what she enjoys most.

Her boyfriend of almost two years, Argentinian businessman Nico Bolzico trusts her enough to allow her this freedom.

“I don’t need to tell him where I am.  Walang follow-up. Walang selos selos,” she gushes.  That’s why the star of “D' Kilabots Pogi Brothers Weh!?” is sure her current relationship is “my best so far.”

Complete trust

She trusts him completely.

“Kapag may nakita siyang magandang babae,  sabihin lang niya lang na maganda,” Solenn relates.  Her faithful boyfriend admires beauty, but he doesn’t cross the line.

Solenn, in turn, makes sure she gives him no reason to doubt her.

“I tell him I have a kissing scene,” she relates. “I don’t want him to see it in the internet and wonder what happened.”

Thankfully, her 31-year-old boyfriend understands. He tells Solenn her work is her work, and he’d rather keep out of it.

One time, Solenn was rehearsing her psycho role and acting strange before her boyfriend.

“He told me, ‘Babe, you’re scaring me!’  So I had to tell him I was practicing for my role in a movie with Peque Gallaga,” relates Solenn.

But that scene doesn’t happen often.  Most of the time, Solenn keeps her boyfriend away from showbiz.  Save for one time when he escorted her at the Urian Awards, Solenn’s guy doesn’t show up in showbiz affairs.

He is too busy to do do. Nico put up an agribusiness company in Cagayan de Oro and plays soccer as a hobby.  It’s a whole new world for Solenn, who is slowly learning all about her boyfriend’s business.

“When I meet people involved in agribusiness, I give them my boyfriend’s card and tell them he brought the agriculture technology of Argentina  into the country.”

Wedding bells

Are wedding bells ringing anytime soon?

“We’re so compatible. We’re always laughing.  Sana siya na forever, pero ayaw ko pag-usapan yan kasi baka ma-jinx,” Solenn replies.

Now, if he pops the question, Solenn is sure she’ll shed tears of joy. In fact, she turned teary-eyed when a reporter asked her what she’ll do if her boyfriend proposes marriage.

Settling down and motherhood, though, will not stop her from continuing her showbiz career.

“I want to have a child when I’m 30 because I’d rather be a young mother.  But I won’t change anything when I get married.  Ayaw ko ng bawal-bawal.”

Free-spirited Solenn doesn’t see herself living in her boyfriend’s native Argentina if they do get married. Yes, his parents are nice, but she prefers staying in a home she and her Mr. Right can have to themselves once they start their own family (Solenn wants three children).

The home need not be as expensive as the ones in Forbes Park and Dasmarinas Village where Solenn lived for quite some time.

Socialite image

“The socialite tag was a label they gave me when I joined `Survivor’ (the GMA 7 reality show aired two years ago),” Solenn downplays her rich girl image.  She can sleep in the living room, like what she did in Paris.  And she admires the less privileged—like the ones she saw on the set of  `D Kilabots .

“Masaya sila kahit nahihirapan sila,” observes Solenn.

She may not be like them, but Solenn insists she is no flighty party girl.

“Ayoko ng mga events. Minsan, fun. But I don’t go to parties often. ”

Her classic Eurasian looks give her away.  She looks like someone who is to the manor born.  And Solenn actually is—no matter what she says and does.
