Taylor Swift to return to Manila

She’s back!

Get ready to sing along to Taylor Swift's hits, as seven-time Grammy award winner Taylor Swift is set to return for the Manila leg of The Red Tour on June 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

This is Taylor’s second time in Manila. She first visited the country in February 2011, where she had a sold-out concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Extension of Red Tour

With Southeast Asian fans clamoring to see her live, Taylor is scheduled to perform in Jakarta (June 4), Bangkok (June 9), Kuala Lumpur (June 11) and Singapore (June 12). Taylor made the announcement on her official website on Thursday, February 13.

"We were having the best time in Red Tour in 2013 and I want to announce that we're continuing the tour in June of 2014. We're bringing the Red Tour to Asia. I can't wait to see you and I hope you guys have a great time at the show. See you there," Taylor said in her video announcement.

Netizens and Taylor's fans went abuzz following her tour announcement. Taylor Swift, Red Tour and Manila trended on Twitter, as the fans expressed their excitement to have the chance to see Taylor once again.

The singer behind the hit songs "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," and "I Knew You Were Trouble," headlined sold-out shows in North America, Australia, New Zealand in 2013 and in London and Berlin just recently.

Featuring songs from her “Red” album, the Red Tour will comprise of "two stages, elaborate costumes, dancers, and changing sets." Her “Red” album includes her hit songs "We Are Never Getting Back Together" and "22."

‘King-size spectacle’

Taylor, who is known for performing with guitar and piano, will also play other musical instruments like electric guitar and banjo at the concert.

According to her official website, The Red Tour earned praises from music critics. Rolling Stone magazine called it a "massively excellent show," while The New York Times described it as "a king-size spectacle."

The Red Tour is presented by Cornetto. Tickets go on sale on February 20.
