For the tired air passenger, real-time screens help with London ground transit

Heathrow is Europe's busiest airport

For the drowsy traveler setting foot in a new place, transportation options from the airport to city-center can often be an added headache.

But a novel new service is underway at London's major Heathrow airport. Screens have been installed to show passengers live price and journey-time comparisons between taxis and train service to central London.

The information combines real-time traffic, weather conditions and Heathrow Express train service information to help travelers make the fastest and most cost-effective choice.

Heathrow's Terminal 2 will be the first destination for these new screens, which will later be installed across Terminals 3 and 5.

Situated near baggage claim, the screens will also be translated into the main languages of each arriving flight.
