Tom Pecheux talks eyebrows: 'I have always been a big fan of strong brows'
Over the past couple of seasons, it's been all about big, natural brows. Estée Lauder latched onto the trend with its Double Wear Crayons this year, but the brand's Creative Makeup Director (and general fashion makeup legend) Tom Pecheux has a few more words on bold brows.
Describe the current brow trend.
"Strong, powerful eyebrows, unplucked and untouched."
How do brows reflect the person?
"For me, when eyebrows are too plucked it feels fake, but when they are strong it gives a charisma, character and personality to the face."
Have there been any specific defining brow moments for you?
"No, I have always been a big fan of strong brows."
Who in your opinion has amazing brows and why?
"All the Estée girls, Frida Kahlo is an example of someone whose brows define her character, Brooke Shields and the Olsen sisters."
If someone doesn't have bold brows what can they do to make them fuller?
"Makeup!"
What is your signature brow look that you use on models?
"Powerful brows."
