Upcoming Manila visitor Greyson Chance still wants to be on 'Glee'
Teen pop sensation Greyson Chance is the latest in a long line of stars including Anne Hathaway, Zac Efron and Jennifer Lopez who have been rumored to be after a guest spot in the hit TV musical.
Greyson’s YouTube video of his stripped-down piano-accompanied version of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” when he was 13 led host Ellen DeGeneres to sign him up as the first artist of her newly formed eleveneleven label.
A year later, Greyson is eyeing bigger things.
While he’s willing to do whatever creator Ryan Murphy wants, he already has dreamed up a role for himself.
Wants to play Finn’s half-brother
“Finn (Cory Monteith’s character) has a dead father, so it would be a very dramatic episode where Finn figures out his father had a secret romance with my mom, and so I’m his younger half-brother. I already got it written out,” Greyson told MTV.
He has been very open in his many TV interviews about joining the show that his fans have created a petition page on Facebook for Greyson to be part of the TV musical.
“I love Glee and I love to be part of the show. I’m a very big fan, sir, of everything you do,” Greyson told MTV as he directly addressed the “Glee” creator.
Greyson in Manila
In a recent interview with Hollywire last week, the 14-year-old declared, “I'm up for anything. I'll be stuffed in a locker if he wants me to!”
In the meantime, Greyson has landed a guest spot role on the second season of “Raising Hope,” the critically acclaimed comedy about a family that finds itself caring for a new baby called Hope.
Greyson will be in Manila for a special two-night performance organized by MCA Music and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls. Catch Greyson on November 19 in Eastwood Mall Open Park at 7 p.m. and on November 20 in Venice Piazza Mall in McKinley Hill at 8 p.m. for a meet and greet.
