Utilitarian futurism is the key look for H&M's AW15 Studio collection

Utilitarian futurism, sports luxe and "starburst shine" are the themes for the latest H&M Studio collection, unveiled Monday.

The Autumn/Winter 2015 line focuses on the essential item of the season, the roll neck. Zip-up coats, lurex knits and flared trousers also feature heavily in the tomboy-themed collection.

Supermodel Kendall Jenner has already been spotted in a long silky navy blouse and a khaki quilted jacket from the new range -- although the rest of us will have to wait until September to get our hands on the pieces.

"Sporty zip-up jackets are perfect for everyday wear, while roll necks can be styled as part of a layered look," says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

The main focus of the collection is on outwear, with utilitarian coats, quilted nylon pieces and long gilets appearing alongside camel wool coats with ribbed waists. Knitwear is also one of the key looks, with trousers worn either straight or flared.

When it comes to texture the fabrics are contrasted, with faux fur coats, matte wool tailoring, sequin blouses and patent detailing all featuring. Futuristic starburst patterns printed on lurex blouses and long-sleeve roll-neck dresses keep things fun and stand out against the warm autumn palette of burgundies, rusts, teals, camels and greys.

Accessories have been designed with the utilitarian theme in mind, with caps, patent boots, leather driving gloves, heeled sandals worn with socks, moon boots and an oversized patent bag all contributing to the overall look.

The collection will be available in 200 stores and online from September 10. Prices range from £7.99 (around $12.50) - £199.99 (around $310).
