Venice Film Festival announces jury members

Elizabeth Banks, Diane Kruger and Nuri Bilge Ceylan are among the names that have been selected for the three international juries to select the winning films at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.

The list also includes French author, screenwriter and director Emanuel Carrère whose resume includes bestselling novels "Limonov" and "Le Royaume."

German actress Kruger is well-known for her role as Bridget von Hammersmark in the 2009 movie "Inglourious Basterds," and US actress Elizabeth Banks starred recently in "Spiderman" and the "Hunger Games" movies.

Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan won the Palme d'Or at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for his film "Winter Sleep."

Taiwanese director Hou Hsaiao-hsien and Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski are also members in the main Venezia 72 jury headed by Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron.
