Veronese to showcase colorful pieces at Maison&Objet

Luxury French lighting studio Veronese is teaming up with French designer Reda Amalou on a glittering project for the prestigious Maison&Objet design salon in Paris this September.

The designer, who created the Murano glass piece "Ceci n'est pas une vase" or "This is not a vase" for the brand in January this year, will be styling the Veronese space like the lobby of a contemporary hotel.

The collection on display will include eight of the brand's most striking pieces from its 2014 collection, including Alpaga, which offers a contemporary twist on the standard Murano chandelier, with gunmetal grey sandblasted glass foliage details.

One of the other focal points will be TOH (which stands for Trigonometric Oval Hemisphere) by Raphael Navot, a limited-edition curved piece made up of geometric glass fragments which create a prism-like effect. Each of the 360 fragments is angled individually so that the elements follow the curve of the piece exactly, and only 12 of the designs have been created.

The richly colorful "Caigo 2" chandelier by Olivier Gagnère and the exotic "Bijou Bijou" shade by Laurence Brabant will add a contemporary edge to the display.

The House of Veronese has been specializing in luxurious lighting fixtures since it was established in 1931 and has collaborated with designers including Chantal Thomass, Hilton McConnico and Tal Lancman.

Maison&Objet will run from September 5-9.
