Vice Ganda uncomfortable with fame

Despite his rising popularity, Kapamilya actor and TV host Vice Ganda says he was happier before fame came his way because he had simple and uncomplicated life back then.

“Simple lang pero nakakaraos ako. Wala ako masyadong problema. Wala masyadong issue sakin yung mga sasabihin ng mga tao kase hindi naman nila ako masyadong tinututukan eh,” Vice Ganda told Boy Abunda in an interview on “The Buzz” last Jan. 1.

The comedian observes that people tend to dictate norms or things he must do, now that he’s public property. That’s why he not comfortable and will never be comfortable with fame.

Grateful for the blessings

Despite this downside of popularity, Vice Ganda feels grateful for all the blessings he receives.

It was Vice Ganda who popularized the word “unkabogable” via his talent show, “Showtime.”

Just enjoy,’” he shared.

As the show instantly rose to fame, some people began to think Vice Ganda’s success was just as quick. This, he vehemently denies.

Vice Ganda paid his dues as a stand-up comedian in various comedy bars before he made a name in showbiz.

And he never grew tired waiting for the right break to come. He is also aware of various intrigues and negative publicity about him, but chooses not to be distracted.

Know thyself

This is why he is glad he entered showbiz as an adult, when he can already face the challenges hurled at him.

Vice Ganda revealed he has a lot of things in store for fans in 2012, including a concert, a recording album and another movie.

Makikita nyo pa rin ako sa telebisyon kasi alam ko naman ang purpose ko, magpatawa,” he said.
