Watch: The first trailer for Disney's 'The Descendants'
Disney released the first trailer for its highly anticipated "The Descendants" on Sunday evening during the Radio Disney Music Awards telecast.
While only glimpses of its contemporary villainous cast were shown before, the trailer introduces the teenage offspring of classic Disney crooks and mischief-makers.
The troublemaking teens include Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce) and Jay (Booboo Stewart) -- the spawn of Maleficent (Kristin Chenoweth), the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy), Cruella de Vil (Wendy Raquel Robinson) and Jafar (Maz Jobrani).
Executive producer Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical") directs and choreographs the TV movie, which premieres summer 2015 on the Disney Channel, says Variety.
