How to watch the Gamescom 2015 presentations

'Forza Motorsport 6' promises blistering speed and breathtaking views

With "Halo 5: Guardians," "Forza Motorsport 6," "Star Wars Battlefront," "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" and "World of Warcraft" among big names booked for Cologne's Gamescom this week, here's how and when to watch the presentations live and online.

Microsoft Xbox
Date: August 4
Time: 7am PT, 10am ET, 3pm BST, 4pm CEST

Xbox goes first and is expected to show off new entries to big-name franchises in "Forza Motorsport 6" and "Halo 5: Guardians" as well as rebooted Xbox 360 favorite "Crackdown," the episodic time-traveling "Quantum Break," and new Lara Croft adventure "Rise of the Tomb Raider."

It will then host Xbox Daily recaps at 6pm CEST (9am PT, 12 noon ET, 5pm BST) on August 5 and 6.

"Halo 5: Guardians" will be put through its competitive paces at an ESL Invitational from 3pm CEST on August 7 (6am PT, 9am ET, 2pm BST).

Electronic Arts

More on "Star Wars: Battlefront," "FIFA 16," "Need for Speed," "Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2," "Unravel" and "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" are some of the treats game fans will be wanting from EA's Gamescom presentation, and there may be room for some "Sims 4" content too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Date: August 5
Time: 10am PT, 1pm ET, 6pm BST, 7pm CEST

Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be showcased as an eSports contender during its scheduled Gamescom slot, with competitive play set to become a major feature. New franchise partner Sony, which accommodated "Call of Duty" content at E3 in June, is absent from Gamescom this year, instead planning for Paris Games Week in October.

Blizzard Entertainment
Date: August 6

The studio behind "World of Warcraft" is using Gamescom to expand its felt presence in Europe and reveal the MMO's latest expansion, after November 2014 saw fifth add-on "Warlords of Draenor" released. Also at the show will be upcoming team shooter "Overwatch," card game sensation "Hearthstone," arena battler "Heroes of the Storm," and the pre-release "StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void."
