Watch: the making of 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' - sound design

Second in a three-part series that looks behind the scenes of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Rockstar Games' mini-retrospective takes in the sound of a 1980s faux Miami, from radio stations to sound effects and overheard conversations.

The clips were part of an archive created for the London Design Museum's 2002 awards and have been retrieved for wider public consumption following the recent re-release of Vice City on Android and iOS devices.

It's also part of a carefully coordinated lead-up to the release of Grand Theft Auto V, which takes place in a metropolis based on Los Angeles, and one whose aesthetic merges the scale of Grand Theft Auto IV with Vice City's more colorful vibe.
