What Cristine will do for love
Cristine Reyes is ready to give up her all—including her own happiness—for love.
This she revealed at the set visit for ABS-CBN’s new primetime drama “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” in Antipolo City on Friday, March 9.
“Ang masasakripisyo ko ay sarili kong kaligayahan para sa ikabubuti ng lahat,” she said.
Cristine plays the feisty and rich Jasmin Valderama in the series.
The drama marks her first time to work with Piolo Pascual, whom she finds “very professional,” “sweet,” and “perfect.”
“Kunwari wala naman sa eksena, tapos kakausapin niya ako, ganun. Basta minsan parang kikiligin ka sa kanya, may iba siyang ginagawa na hindi niya siguro alam na parang nakakakilig,” Cristine relates.
She and Piolo are together in “ASAP Rocks” every Sunday, but they don’t get to talk as much as they can the way they do in “Dahil sa Pag-ibig.”
"Kapag andiyan siya, tahimik lang ako, as in hindi ako makabasag-pinggan. Kasi nahihiya ako sa kanya. Minsan nahihiya nga akong kausapin siya, eh. Ewan ko, parang there's something about him," she adds.
Does she have a crush on Piolo?
“No, I like him as a person,” Cristine replies.
Piolo and Echo
She relates how Piolo and fellow lead actor Jericho Rosales are so different from each other.
“Si Piolo yung steady lang pero nakikipag-usap, nakikipagbiruan. Tapos yun nga, nakakakilig siya minsan. Naiinis ako,” Cristine said in a jest.
She and Jericho worked together in the TV drama“Kahit Isang Saglit,” so they are comfortable with each other.
“Si Echo (Jericho) super 100% kulit, as in! Para siyang battery, hindi siya nauubusan. Para siyang fully-charged palagi. Hyper yun si Echo, kahit hindi naman sa work, kahit nandito lang tayo, ganoon sya.”
“Dahil sa Pag-ibig” airs starting Monday (March 12) on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida, after “Walang Hanggan.”
