Danica Sotto-Pingris will not object should her dad, comedian-host Vic Sotto, finally  marry long-time girlfriend Pauleen Luna.

But  first, Danica plans to tell him the same thing he said to her and now husband Marc Pingris before they tied the knot.

“Dapat, kung talagang kayo na, siguraduhin nyo na yan.”

Reaching out

After  the presscon for Junior Preneur, an annual trade bazaar that aims to inspire entrepreneurship and financial literacy to kids, Danica told media she appreciates Pauleen’s efforts to reach out to her.

Danica likes it that Pauleen doesn’t force herself on the family. Instead, she makes it a point to slowly win Danica – and the rest of the family members’ hearts – by blending with them.

“Hindi siya yung ‘Oy, pansinin nyo naman ako.’ Hinahayaan nya na dahan dahang makilala kami.   I appreciate yung respect na binibigay nya (sa amin).”

Vic’s feelings

Pauleen, adds Danica, would casually ask her about her kids. Vic’s “Eat Bulaga” co-host also updates Danica about her dad’s feelings.

“Kinukwento nya na happy ang dad ko pag nakakasama nya kaming mga anak nya,” relates Danica.

She admits feeling a bit awkward the first time Vic and Pauleen got together because of the age gap between them.   Vic is 34 years Pauleen’s senior.

Too early to tell

But Danica’s fears vanished when she saw how happy her dad is with Pauleen.

Now, all Danica can do is pray “kung ano ang will ni God para sa kanila.”

Danica thinks it’s still too early to tell if Pauleen is a potential wife to Vic.

“Feeling ko kailangan pa ng panahon para makilala ko siya at makausap. Pero ang Daddy ko lang ang makakasagot nyan if ever, kasi sila ang magsasama.”

There for dad

But Danica vowed to continue respecting the couple and to always be there for Vic.

“I don’t think that by being mataray to a person or ang  magsusungit sa tao ay may  magagawang kabutihan or my kahihinatnan.”

Meanwhille, the young mom is proud to say she makes it a point to teach her children the value of money.  She emphasizes needs, not wants.

That’s why she’s looking forward to “Junior Preneur,” which is also  supported by fellow celebrities Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup, Bianca Valerio and others.

It opens  May 4 at Greenhills Shopping Center’s Jewelry Center exhibit area.
