So who is Lovi Poe dating nowadays?
Don't ask her mother. According to Rowena Moran, Lovi Poe’s mom, she's "the last person to know" when press people quizzed her about Lovi’s ex-boyfriends Jake Cuenca and Ronald Singson.
Lovi meanwhile denied keeping things from her mom, especially where her love life is concerned.
“Akala lang niya 'yon,” Lovi notes. “Mom knows a lot of things. Wala lang talaga ngayon (referring to her love life)."
Rowena knows about her break-up with Ronald and the others that happened in-between, insists Lovi.
It’s just that Rowena would rather fix her daughter’s hair backstage than quiz Lovi about her personal life.
A lot of trust
“I trust my daughter a lot,” the doting mom explains. “She can handle everything. At 24, she already knows what’s right and wrong,” she added during the launch of “Love Affair,” the newest addition to the Bench Celebrity Scents Collection on Sunday, June 16.
Lovi, her mom goes on, has a sensitive spot. But the good daughter would rather keep most of her troubles to herself for fear that dear mom would worry herself sick.
“Mabait ang anak ko,” Rowena crows. “She can handle the situation.”
Lovi herself is now limited to just dropping hints to whoever she fancies about a potential love affair.
She has no time for one these days.
“Wala along time mag-date. Ang focus ko, work.”
Lovi plays the title role in GMA News TV’s new series “Titser,” which is about a high school valedictorian who dreams of becoming a teacher. Problem is, she has no option other than to work as a housemaid.
It’s a telling tale on the sorry state of education in the country.

“Ayaw ko siya mag-artista kasi I want her to finish her studies. 'Yan din ang dream ng dad niya (the late Fernando Poe Jr.) para sa kanya. She was into Psychology and was active in school,” Rowena says.
But again, the supportive mom understands. She knows Lovi is so busy, she has no time for school.
Still, a mom can always hope. And Rowena does just that, while quietly watching her daughter make heads turn and hop from one project to the next with utmost ease.
