Why Cristine Reyes hid her pregnancy at first
Now that she finally admitted that she’s pregnant, people are wondering why it took months for Cristine Reyes to reveal her interesting condition to the public.
The Kapamilya actress shared that her delicate condition during the first trimester of her pregnancy. kept her from revealing the truth earlier.
Totally safe
“Right now, andito na ako sa stage na sure na 100% safe ako and our baby. I made sure na safe muna kami,” Cristine said in a interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday, November 16.
Cristine was not visible in showbiz during the past months because her doctor advised her to rest and take care of herself and her baby by non-showbiz boyfriend Ali Khatibi .
“Nung first three months ko na akala ng lahat ay nagtatago ako, critical ang stage ko. Advise ng doctor bed rest ako kasi nagkaroon ako ng bleeding.”
She and her boyfriend may not be married yet, but Cristine said the baby is not an accident.
Planned baby
“We’re happy. It was planned. It was not a surprise. First test namin, morning iyon, akala namin negative pa. So na-sad kami. Nag-test kami ulit nung gabi, positive na. They (hers and her boyfriend’s family) were happy and excited.”
The actress added that she and her boyfriend have been talking about marriage even before she announced her pregnancy on the noontime show “ASAP” last Sunday, November 16.
Proud and happy Ate
“Para meron kaming heads up, dapat may knowledge ka about it and we’re prepared.”
Cristine’s older sister Ara Mina expressed happiness over Cristine’s pregnancy.
“Another blessing from God. Proud ako for her. I will always be here for her. I know she’s very happy. Last year pa nyang sinasabi sa akin na gusto nyang magkababy,” Ara told Yahoo Philippines in a text message.
Cristine is positive about making a showbiz comeback after giving birth.
“But confident naman ako na kahit anong mangyari, babalik at babalik ako. I know na andiyan ang ABS-CBN family for me, mga Kapamilya at yung Viva. I’m happy and contented now sa lahat ng na-achieve ko sa buhay ko and sa career ko.”
