DreamWorks Animation feature "Home" rises up the rankings after a US domestic release to become the weekend's most watched film in cinemas.

The story of purple alien Oh, earthling teenager Tip, and tabby cat Pig grossed an estimated $78m worldwide over the weekend ending March 29, according to Rentrak.com, for a lifetime global of $102m.

In second place was Disney's live action "Cinderella," in front of "Divergent Series: Insurgent."

New release "Get Hard," a comedy starring Will Smith and Kevin Hart, arrived in fourth overall due to its currently low proportion of takings from global receipts.

In comparison, spy adventure "Kingsman: The Secret Service" proved its longevity in fifth thanks to good international uptake.

South Korean release "Twenty" and Liam Neeson action flick "Taken 3" made it into the top 10 by merit of non-US revenue alone.

The top 10 worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend ending March 29:
1. Home - $78m

3. Divergent Series: Insurgent - $51.9m
