Xian Lim doesn’t mind if Paulo Avelino replaced him in the upcoming teleserye “Bridges” (starring Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador) because other opportunities are coming his way

“It’s really (ABS-CBN) management’s decision because they really wanted to bring back the KimXi (Kim Chiu-Xian Lim) tandem. I don’t have much information yet regarding the soap, but once magkaroon ng updates I will tell you guys more about it,” Xian said at the press conference of the movie “Paddington.”

“I’m just following instructions. I’m happy that they’re bringing back KimXi tandem. It’s just part of our work and we’re here. Andito tayo sa isa na namang blessing, isa namang project na pumalit naman,” Xian said.

Xian is glad Paulo was cast in his stead.

Ignoring criticisms

“Bagay naman talaga kay Paulo Avelino yung role. Sa mga previous interviews, sinasabi ko naman na congratulations sa kanya.”

Since criticisms are not new to him, Xian simply ignores them.

“Rumors are always there. That’s something that we can’t really take away, but what we can do is probably just ignore it. And also not be affected by it.”

The Kapamilya actor is proud to lend his voice as Paddington, the talking bear, in the movie’s Philippine release.

British terms

“May mga British terms na you have to say naturally. So inulit-ulit talaga namin hanggang sa naging approved siya. Para sa akin, flawless talaga siya because I used my normal voice.”

Xian hopes to meet the international cast of “Paddington,” which features the voices of Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Michael Gambon and Imelda Staunton.

“It’s something the family and kids would really enjoy once it hits the cinemas. Nakakaproud na makita yung pangalan ko sa poster na iyan. It’s such an honor.”

“Paddington” opens in cinemas on Wednesday, February 11.
