Xian Lim wants to be a good dancer
Xian Lim seldom does production numbers. But he wants to change that and add dancing to his growing list of talents.
The Kapamilya star known for his acting, singing and skill in playing various musical instruments, is taking dance lessons from G-Force’s Georcelle Dapat-Sy.
“Para maiba naman. Singing will always be part of my life. But iba pa rin kung marunong ka rin magsayaw,” Xian said at the launch of Pond’s “Most Beautiful Stories,” where Yahoo Celebrity 2014 Female TV Host of the Year nominee Toni Gonzaga was introduced as newest endorser.
Inspiration
The 24-year-old actor shared that seeing “everyone in ASAP” dance inspired him to take dancing lessons too.
“Lahat sila magagaling,” he notes.
Hosting “Promi Pre-school l I-Shine Talent Camp,” where Georcelle was one of the mentors, also encouraged Xian to exert extra effort in dance.
OJT status
“I took the opportunity para I can get lessons. I’m still ongoing training pa lang, parang OJT.”
Xian and leading lady Kim Chiu will follow up the success of “Bride for Rent,” which is nominated in the Yahoo Celebrity 2014 Movie of the Year category, with a new film starring Ai-Ai delas Alas.
“Excited na ako kasi it’s a very different movie. Masaya, it’s an honor and I feel blessed. It’s a rom-com,” he said.
Xian still sees Kim from time to time despite their busy schedules. He misses working with Kim, who is paired with Coco Martin in “Ikaw Lamang.”
“Of course. Yung transition from every day of seeing other, siyempre nakakamiss. Nothing changed (with our closeness to each other),” he said.
For keeps
Kim and Xian agree their friendship is for keeps.
“She’s telling the truth, walang palabok or anything. Wala naman din talaga dapat ikaka-worry. Magkaiba naman kami ng journey. Magkaiba naman kami ng path,” Xian said.
Asked about the real score between him and Kim, Xian's answer remains the same.
“We’re still going to remain friends and remain special to each other. But we’re not rushing things. Sa ngayon, we can focus more. We’re special to each other. But we’re gonna take things slow. Slowly but surely.”
