Yeng Constantino says no to premarital sex

Since they started their relationship seven months ago, singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino and boyfriend Yan Asuncion have agreed on certain boundaries. One of them is refraining from premarital sex.

"Iyon talaga ang clear intention namin, no to it. Kasi we want to honor our parents. We want to honor God. Gusto namin na yung relationship namin, nabi-build din namin yung friendship," Yeng told the press during rehearsals for the provincial tour of her concert  "BY Request" with Bamboo.

Testing the relationship

Yeng  adds that saying no to premarital sex also tests their relationship and respect for each other. She believes physical intimacy can make changes in anyone's relationship.

"It's another level that you have to save, that's for me.

Because of their 'conservative' relationship, Yeng and Yan get to enjoy even the simplest things.

And Yeng admires her boyfriend for respecting her parents.

Ignoring bashers

His  pop-rock star girlfriend doesn't intimidate Yan,  a worship director in Victory Quezon City.

According to Yeng, Yan ignores bashers who frown on  their relationship.

As a performer,  Yeng  is happy to work with Bamboo because he always challenges her  on stage.

"Either kainin niya ako ng buhay or may mailabas talaga ako. It's something exciting for me. Napapatalas niya ako as a performer."
