Yes, Rica Peralejo is pregnant!
Actress Rica Peralejo is an excited mommy-to-be.
Rica, who is married to Joe Bonifacio, bares she's expected to give birth between January 26 to 31, 2014, right in time for their January 29 wedding anniversary.
The celebrity revealed her pregnancy in her blog entries. In her June 5 blog post titled “6 Weeks and 3 Days Old,” Rica related how she found out that she was finally pregnant, after being married for three years.
“A day before going to the doctor to check if I really was pregnant, I already did the home pregnancy test twice. Both times came out positive. I couldn’t believe it. I mean isn’t it is always a wonder, a puzzle, a mystery, how we can carry miracles inside of our bodies!?!?! What a privilege!” she wrote.
Rica added that she saw the baby’s heartbeat on her second checkup. She also revealed that although she has no cravings yet, she is “exceptionally hungry at odd hours and always always sleepy.”
Rica also has to contend with “reduced mobility and flexibility.” Her husband also has to adjust, especially when Rica wants him to get up in the middle of the night to “get everything I crave for.”
Meanwhile, Rica, who is now 10 weeks and 10 days pregnant, is resorting to ice therapy to cope with her new condition. Rica posted a photo of a bowl full of ice cubes and wrote the caption “ice therapy for the buntis” on Instagram.
In her July 5 blog, Rica revealed that she will go to the U.S., Japan and Cebu, to deliver a series of talks. She will also continue writing her column and blog, look over major house renovations and finish “other smaller writing projects,” among others.
In an interview with Yahoo! Philippines OMG! in 2011, Rica said she didn’t feel any pressure to have a baby because she felt that she wanted everything to be as natural as possible.
"A lot of people are saying that we need to take some time off and rest. We'll see, we’re not naman pressured.”
Rica has no regrets leaving showbiz because her life has become “more peaceful.”
She concentrated on her studies and used to go with Joe during his ministry trips.
